Let that sink in for a minute. bloomberg is the fucking devil he is 10 times worse even than Giuliani. I find the ban on feeding the homeless line to be insanely unfeeling. It borders on grade A level Grinching. What sort of apathetic smuck must one be to make it unlawful to feed others during one of the largest economic downturns in recent history? I’d really like to sit down and hear the “rationale” behind banning food donations in the middle of a recession. It’s pure concern trolling… if people just give people homeless, it might be full of high fructose corn syrup, trans fats, calories, or nutrition, or who knows what. What I want to know is where are all the conservatives decrying this “nanny state” and government intrusion? Isn’t part of the cornerstone of supposed compassionate conservatism that gee, we’d all like to give to the poor, but the government keeps getting in the way? That’s what they keep saying when they try to dismantle the social safety nets, anyway… now here is one case (among many, sadly) of a local government stepping in and literally stopping private charitable giving. Where’s the concern? It’s fine when he does that but not when he interferes with their gun control.
